The representatives of the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing attend the launching event of the project “Supporting the process of visa liberalisation in Georgia by providing assistance in the field of the protection of personal data and anti-discrimination”, following the initiative of the Romanian Centre for European Policies, in partnership with Open Society Georgia, held in Tbilisi, Georgia on the 3rd-4th of November 2014.
This project is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, in the framework of the Policy of Official Assistance for Development, having the objective of administrative and legislative reform in Georgia, in accordance with the European standards, by providing expertise and assistance in the field of anti-discrimination and the protection of personal data.
The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing will be given specialist assistance in the following period to the independent authority on data protection from Georgia, set up in 2013 (The Inspectorate for Personal Data Protection), through the organization of a study visit at its premises in Bucharest.
